Allison Molenaar is a certified Independent Educational Consultant with a passion for making a difference in kids’ lives. She founded Molenaar College Consulting to help students and their families acquire the knowledge they need to make an informed, thoughtful college decision.
Credentialed and Experienced
Her credentials include completion of the highly regarded Certificate Program for Independent Education Consultants at the University of California Irvine; and she has expanded her skills in key areas with advanced studies in College Financial Aid, College Affordability, and Application Essay Writing. In 2015, Allison was appointed to the Undergraduate External Application Readers at UC Santa Barbara, and has reviewed and evaluated thousands of freshman applications over the years.
Dedicated to Service
In addition to being a lifelong learner, Allison is a passionate volunteer, who loves to help teens see the benefits of volunteering. She has been a key contributor and architect of the College Bound program for the non-profit, YALLA, helping refugee and immigrant youth rebuild their lives and achieve their dream of going to college.
She has also commandeered squads of young people south of the border to construct houses for Build-a-Miracle and abroad for an international soccer exchange.
Professional and Connected
Allison uses her membership in professional organizations to stay connected and informed on all aspects of the college application process and is proud to be a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA).
